Printing

Yesterday on a trip to Office Works I spied with my little eye a pack of canvas photo paper. It wasn’t very expensive so I bought a pack with the aim of printing some of my photos and framing them. Well the paper wasn’t quite what expected……I thought it would be like normal painting canvas but with some sort of coating over it to make it print friendly.

It’s just like normal photo paper but with a very fine “canvas” texture as you can see in the photo below. I took this with my olloclip macro lense.

So I went ahead and printed a couple of photos anyway.

I was quite pleased with results although you can’t see the canvas texture unless you get up really close.
So then I had the idea of printing on some water colour paper. I have an epson printer with dura brite inks which are fairly water and smudge proof. My idea being to print on the wc paper and then give them wash of paint just to tone down the white surrounds. I let you know how that turns out.

Here are two photo I printed on the wc paper.

It’s fun to experiment.
